  1. There was a snooker hall where Sea Treasure stands when I was wasting my youth.
I will go back and rack up a few yum cha frames.. Cheers

  2. You’ve not experienced Yum Cha until you’ve eaten at Cabramatta’s Golden Star Palace. It is frantic environment, you’ll probably end up sharing a table with very loud randoms, you need to be quite agressive with the wait staff to keep up, and you’d do well to give your chopsticks a bit of a wipe before using them, but that is all part of the charm. And the food is sensational!

  3. [email protected]'s gone 2 Aus

Love Marigold too (Levels 4 & 5, 683-689 George Street, Sydney, 5 minutes from Central Station), we really enjoy the buzz, large restaurant, gets very busy but generally good service. Great to take the kids as it’s so noisy you don’t care if they act up!

  4. Zilver, Haymarket between Pitt n George St upstairs in the little shopping mall.

always rammed with Chinese people, the true testament of a Chinese restaurant

  5. Bondi Junction -> Noble Court. Above Eastern Suburbs Leagues Club.
High ceilings, great food, elegant fit out. Value for money is incredible and the food is delicious.

  6. Fisherman’s Wharf in Pyrmont (above Sydney Fish Market). Service is a damn sight better than the Chinatown behemoth spanning two floors (surely you can guess which one I mean) – and all the usual goodies are on offer and tasty as can be.
