What are your favourite books set in Sydney?

Our part of the world has generated heaps of great books with a Sydney setting. From books with a setting in the growing history of Sydney  to modern stories, it’s pleasant to consume books set in the exact same city you reside in.

Out of all the books you’ve read set in Sydney, which ones registered in your memory? Exactly why are they so great? Is it the characters, or really just the familiar locations which the author has written about? Maybe it was even turned into a television show, which is perhaps why you originally came across the novel…

Vote for your top Sydney books underneath.
