When it comes to tanning, Sydney is a city of sun-lovers. Most of us are waking up to the fact that baking yourself at the beach or in a tanning bed isn’t such a great idea, so sunless tanning is becoming more and more popular.

Thanks Elise and Myrriad74.Some approaches are not beettr than nothing if they lock us in to something that cannot be changed.Part of the attraction of ETS was that it was seen as a way of locking future governments into ongoing climate action. Put an unwanted by product of this locking in that it puts off people who are attracted to giving something a go but want to able to decide that so1ff8mething wasn’t working and shut it down with minimum consequences. (My view is that it will be much easier to argue for more challenging targets once we have actually started to reduce our emissions it is the starting that is critical.)Equally we don’t want to be locked in to something that will require massive compensation if we decide at some time in the future if we decide to accelerate emissions reduction. (This is one of the risks of a transition approach that convinces gas power generators that they will have plenty of time to recoup their investment.)
