It’s an old debate, and we’ve asked the northsiders for their opinion… now it’s time to hear those who love living south of the bridge.
It’s not uncommon to hear of northsiders claiming they “won’t go over the bridge”, or turning their nose up at the south-western suburbs… but there’s plenty that’s awesome in this part of the city! Loads of culture to discover, and at least housing is affordable over this side of town…
The eastern suburbs have so much to offer as well, loads of great cafes and restaurants. Many reckon it beats the north shore hands down!

Surely the simple amswer is so you dont live north

Best part about living in the south is a distinct lack of northern suburbs snobs ;)
So that you can live in the eastern suburbs.
You want to be as far away from the insular penisular as possible. bogons by the beach. who wants to put up with spit bridge traffic?
To be that much closer to the beautiful south coast.
