Darling Harbour can be a controversial area of town. Some think it’s a great place to visit, other locals tend to avoid the area completely.
Everyone’s got their own theories on how the area could be improved, so what would you do to better the Darling Harbour area, and why?

Take out the water from the Harbour and fill it with delicious beer.
Demolish it and erect a giant staue of Paul keating holding a banana.
Any buildings by Cox should be removed. That would be a good start.
Get rid of the eyesore that is the convention and exhibition centre!!
the convention centre and exibition centre actually draws in alot of people with conventions and different home/leasure shows they hold. i live on darling harbour if they took it away there would be alot less tourists around…i think they need to do something with the old macdonalds there with the little fake park with the brass statue with the sheep thing,
Take down the car bridges !,
Replace ent centre and exhibition halls with mixed use devs…6 storeys high..build closer to the water. Make better pedestrian connections with pyrmont. Underground the roads.

Put more upmarket paving. Create a shoppingg complex where ‘Harbourside’ is. And oh remove the monorail and replace with a tram.
